As I partook of the sacrament today, it dawned on me. The ordinance, unique among its cohorts, physically makes of our bodies vessels of the Lord. I use the word "vessel" here in the sense you helped me understand: "vessel" as a conduit in contrast to "vessel" as a container.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we met together as a ward each week (or month or year - maybe Easter time) for a full "last supper" experience. I wonder if there were "non-members" with the Savior during the Last Supper itself.
Anyway, maybe I'll ask our bishop for permission to celebrate such a sacrament with my family.
